BUSINESS ADVISOR

Tony Chew is the Business Advisor of Uvionics Tech. Well renowned Business Lead, Investor and Entrepreneur. He is currently involved in several Startups to lead funding, develop strategic direction and business development. Tony has over 27 years of experience in the information technology (IT) for various industries (including telecommunication and healthcare) and has had broad experience at top management levels for various organisations.

Tony is the General Manager and Business Development Senior Director for Asurion Asia Pacific in South East Asia. His role is to develop the Asia market for Asurion which resulted in several program launches with several large carriers in Singapore and Thailand. Tony was previously the General Manager, Professional Services for Hewlett Packard for South East Asia, Hong Kong and Taiwan. Tony was also the Country Manager for Birlasoft (A General Electric-invested IT company) for South East Asia and Hong Kong. He was also the IT Director for West Clinic which started their oncology practice and first Asia-US clinical trial network in Singapore and Shanghai.

Tony was the co-Founder and COO for W3 Infocomm group of companies which specialised in investment and building up start-up companies with notable patents especially for mobile payment and mobile search engine. He was appointed as the CEO for Airgateway, a company invested by Singtel. During this tenure, Tony served in several boards as a board member including organizations like Airgateway, mPayment and W3 Infocomm group. These boards include shareholders from ST Electronics, Singtel and Prime Partners. W3 Infocomm raised a total of SGD 20m at a valuation portfolio of SGD75m for various companies under its purview.

Tony was Managing Director, Asia for large MNCs like Cincom Systems and Software AG (A listed company in Germany). Tony also served as an advisor to the regional managing director of KPMG in CRM practice for the region. He was the Vice Chairman and co-founder for the first Wireless Chapter set up in Singapore.

Tony holds a Master of Business Administration from Macquarie University of Australia. He enjoys sports especially motorbike riding, road and mountain cycling, compound bow archery and occasional golf.
